When highway and hometown align, we celebrate! Celebrate Route 66 in true hometown style at the Old-Fashioned Jubilee on June 26, 2026, from noon to 8 p.m. on the Historic Courthouse Lawn in Carlinville. The day kicks off with the noon whistle as Model A cars and classic trucks cruise onto the square, followed by live music throughout the afternoon and evening, including local and regional performers. Visitors can enjoy a full lineup of family-friendly activities like old-fashioned games, croquet, sack races, a best-dressed contest, and a fun “gangsters and mobsters” theme all day. The event also features arts, authors, and storytelling centered on Route 66 and local history, along with a kids’ “First Time Up” stage experience. Food trucks and local favorites will be on-site serving everything from sandwiches and mocktails to handmade pies—making it a full day of music, history, and community celebration.
The Carlinville Chamber will help bring the day to a close with an evening of historic charm and local shopping around the Square, featuring a performance by the Carlinville Municipal Band, followed by live music that carries the celebration into the evening and creates a lively, community-centered finale to the Jubilee.
