DESCRIPTION:When highway and hometown align\, we celebrate! Celebrate Route 66 in true hometown style at the Old-Fashioned Jubilee on June 26\, 2026\, from noon to 8 p.m. on the Historic Courthouse Lawn in Carlinville. The day kicks off with the noon whistle as Model A cars and classic trucks cruise onto the square\, followed by live music throughout the afternoon and evening\, including local and regional performers. Visitors can enjoy a full lineup of family-friendly activities like old-fashioned games\, croquet\, sack races\, a best-dressed contest\, and a fun “gangsters and mobsters” theme all day. The event also features arts\, authors\, and storytelling centered on Route 66 and local history\, along with a kids’ “First Time Up” stage experience.
